The killer : rules


Introduction :

The killer is a very easy and funny role playing game we could compare to a Live Cluedo. Each player takes the role of an assassin and receives a mission (or contract) describing the person he/she must kill, where and with which murder weapon.
But beware! Every player is both an assassin and the target of another assassin !
The goal of the game is to be the last survivor !

“There can be only one !”



The mission :

At the beginning of the game, you’ll receive a mission describing
- The name of your victim
- The place where you must kill him/her
- The object that must be used.

For example :
“You must kill Virginie Surmont, in the entrance stairs, with a blue rose”

To complete your mission you must touch (only touch… nobody should be armed during the game ) the person with the specified object in the specific place and tell him/her “you’re dead !”

Some basic killing rules:
- Touch your victim in a friendly way, it’s just a game and no one should feel offended.
- Touch under the neck if possible (being killed “in the head” may not result very gentle for some people)
In other words, always keep in mind that it’s a game… just a game !

You do not have any time limit to complete your mission (unless I decide it )

Important : every word in the mission is important,
If it says a blue rose, it cannot be a rose of another color.
If it says the entrance stairs, the killing must take place on the stairs, neither after nor before.
If it says with someone else’s object (a shoe for example), the object must be from that person.
If you have to use someone else’s object, ask him/her first, no “stealing” must be performed to achieve a mission.
Etc…

If you successfully complete your mission, your victim will, in his/her last breath, explain you his/her own mission which becomes instantly yours.

If you’re killed, please refer directly to one of the game responsible on your floor (see below). He/she will keep track of the “death” and officially give the new mission to your “murderer”.


How to enter the game :

Anyone from CC can enter the game.
The entry fee is 2€. All the money collected this way will be refunded to Pondicherry Charity. The money has to be given to the people in charge of the game at your floor (see below for the members of the organization).

Organization :

As we are a lot of people, the game will be organized in 2 rounds :

1st round - By floor :
Missions will only concern people on the same floor (to avoid people running up and down the building).
The 5 survivors of each floor will be selected to pass to the second round

2nd round – Final :
If you survived to the 1st round, you’ll receive a new mission which may concern people from any floor.
The last survivor is declared winner.

Communications and follow up :
All communication and follow up of the game will be done through the Killer’s forum : http://isc-killer.board-directory.com/
There you’ll be able to see who’s dead, who’s not and much more !

In case of general “pause” of the game (Clients visit, fire alarm, etc), you’ll be notified by a mail.
The CC Killer team will be warned by HR Team.

Organization team :
There will be 1 or 2 people responsible of the game for each floor. There will be annonced soon

Golden Rules :

As we are in a work environment, we have to follow some basic and logical rules.
Any breach of these rules by a player may end by his disqualification.

Golden rule #1 : Your work has priority on the game.
The game shouldn’t affect availability, you have to use your break times / lunches to play.

Golden rule #2 : No one should be disrupted while working. No killing will be planned at desks nor training rooms.

Golden rule #3 : Game may stop at any time due to client visit or other business related events.

Other rules of play :
- No one should force his victim to enter a place, persuasion and cleverness should be the key words.
- You can get help from other people but you are the only one who can effectively kill your victim


Tips from an experienced killer :

- Your complete mission shouldn’t be revealed to anyone.
- If you can avoid being helped, it’s better.
- Try not to be witnessed.
- Wait for the right moment and act quickly, a failed attempt to kill someone may result very complicated to recover.
- Don’t take it too personally, it’s only a game !

Theoretical schedule :

The first part of the game should end before 1st of December 2010

The second part should begin with the year 2011(December will be probably a month of many people taking holidays) and should last one month.




Events aside from the game :



Killer outfit contest :

Once registered into the forum, you’ll be able to upload a picture to cheer up your profile and the messages you’ll post on the forum.
If you upload a picture of you disguised in assassin (any type is valid: the professional, italian mafia, ninja… whatever, as long as you look angry, and ready to kill!), you’ll automatically enter into the best killer outfit contest.
The responsible of the game will vote for the best outfit and the winner will be awarded with a favor of the gods… one more life! You’ll be able to resuscitate if you die…

“How I died” contest :

Another contest will be organized around how players died…
If you get killed, take your best pen (keyboard ?) and write a short essay on how you died. Post it on the forum (Make us cry, make us laugh… as you wish, but the best text will also be awarded by the gods…
